Help remove invasive English Ivy from trees at Hagerstown City Park on Friday October 6th. Invasive species compete for resources such as light and nutrients from desire species such as mature trees. The ivy will eventually kill trees by growing completely over all the branches and leaves. Help bag ground ivy and cut vine bases prior to being sprayed by trained persons. Two shifts are scheduled 10am-noon & 1-3pm.
We will provide tools, supplies, and gloves. Please wear long sleeves, long pants, sturdy shoes, and bring your own refillable water bottle. We will also have drinking water and snacks available.
Please sign up for event updates. This event cannot occur if rain or wet conditions are present.
