Paddle the lower section of Antietam Creek from Devils Backbone Park to Molly’s Hole takeout (downstream of Burnside Bridge). This is an unguided paddle to help connect the community to our local recreational water trails
Sunday June 11, 2023
Paddle starts at 10 am. Kayak rentals will be through Antietam Creek Canoe at 19005 Lappans Road where the group will put into the Creek. Please arrive at 9:15 for sign in, waiver completion, and instructions. Park at the Devil’s Backbone Park lot.
The trip covers just over 8 miles and takes about 4 hours. We will take a break part way, near the 3 mile mark, for a lunch stop. This is a “Bring Your Own Lunch” event. After take-out, a shuttle will bring people back to the Park area.
Kayak rental is $50/person. For those bringing their own kayaks/canoes, there is no fee but please plan to provide a tip for the shuttle driver. Payments will be made directly to Antietam Creek Canoe.
